This toy is the perfect infant toy. I was hesitant to spend anything over $10 for baby toy when she’s so young, but it’s worth the price if you’re only going to have one or two toys for this age. It’s great for practicing grabbing and exploring textures in their mouths without being a choking hazard or having a million grooves for me to wash spit up out of. My baby started engaging with it when assisted around 2.5 months old. But now she’s almost 4 months and she grabbing and playing with it in her clumsy way. We sometimes put it in her crib with her and it keeps her entertained and happy when she’s first wakes from her nap or I need a moment to get dressed. When she gets better grip strength I think it will be a great car toy as well.

It’s lightweight enough to toss in the diaper bag and keep him entertained in the car, the stroller, or just playing at home on his mat. • Multi-Sensory: It doubles as a great teether, especially when those first teeth start bothering them. Cons ( -1 star for this) • Hand-Wash Only: This is the only real downside. You cannot put this in the dishwasher or a baby bottle sterilizer. • Cleaning Maintenance: The manufacturer warns that mold can develop if water gets trapped inside the tubes, so you have to be careful not to fully immerse it. It requires a bit of extra time to hand wash and wipe down carefully with warm soapy water. Despite the extra minute it takes to clean, the Winkel Rattle is worth every penny. It’s one of the few toys that truly grows with them during those first few months. If you want a reliable toy for the car or stroller that your baby won't get bored of, this is it!
