Does not lock into place. Water still gets filtered, however months later I found water pooled under the deli drawer and starting to leak out, onto the floor. Bad product design!!!! would not buy. Only used one of the three and now they are all going in the trash. Should have purchased the real thing.I have a Samsung French door fridge where the filter is located above the deli drawer... I read the reviews before my purchase and some people had good luck with it, sadly I did not. And its too late to send back for a refund. Unhappy with this design. ### ⭐ DO NOT BUY! First one I put in did not filter out bad taste from water, which is why I bough them in the first place. After gagging for a few nights on the awful taste, I changed it to the second of three hoping for better luck. Well, water tasted better but the damn thing leaked all over the floor! of course I changed that one immediately, and installed the third. This one did not leak and did get most of the taste out, but still a bit of chlorine taste. Samsung brand filters have never leaked for me and take out ALL unwanted chlorine taste.
