I purchased two (2) of these translators in August 21 in preparation for a military move overseas. I purchased Pocket Talk because it offered Indian languages other translators did not. Covid delayed my move to Jan 22. So, I was not able to try to use the Pocket Talks in the intended foreign environment until well past the return date; but, based on other reviews, I wasn't worried - shame on me for being so foolish. Once I tried using the Pocket Talk overseas with foreigners in real world situations, I was BADLY LET DOWN. More often than not, the device does not recognize the English I'm speaking, so I get either gibberish or no translation in return. (English is my first language by the way). Co-workers, my husband, waiters, passing strangers, any number of others have tried to use the device and we all get the same useless and unsatisfactory response from the device. To make matters worse, the battery has such a short life that by the time you've gotten to where you're going it's nearly out of juice. Sadly, Pocket Talk is not big enough to use as a door stop, so it is truly a complete and utterly useless waste of money. Save your sanity and your pocketbook and Google Translate on your Smart phone.
