Reminiscences of a Stock Operator

Für Kenner. Ich gebs zu, ich habs nicht gelesen. Die Taschenbuchversion ist voller Eselsohren und Markierungen und wird regelmässig hervorgeholt (siehe Rezensionen dort). Dieses Exemplar enthält die Originalgrafiken der ursprünglichen Zeitungsserie und gibt den Geist der Zeit auf unterhaltsame Weise wieder. Wer das Buch nicht kennt/schätzt sollte wohl (zunächst) das Taschenbuch wählen.

I bought this edition a few years ago and it is lovely to read. As another reviewer said it is quite large and being a hard back it can be little uncomfortable laid on you knee. Having said that it's a joy to look through, the pictures capture the feelings of the market at the time (and the feelings now). The story itself is very interesting and can be seen as a window into the past but it is more than that, it is filled with information and insights into what is essentially the same market. The players change but the game remains the same. It's a book that every trader or stock market aficionado should have a copy of.

If you want to understand the proper way to approach trading securities, I would say the Jesse Livermore approach is a very good start. The writing of this book is read like a fiction story, and is easy to understand.

One of the finest book on the legend of stock market ..Full of lessons and wisdom. Must read for anyone who wants to become trader and to prepare your mindset. One of the great lesson i learned from the book " There is no bull side or bear side , there is only one side and that is right side. "

It’s a great read and puts current market dynamics into perspective with details from 100 years ago.
