These are unedited photos I just took with the Apexel 24x macro lens. You have to get right on top of the subject so sometimes they fly away or move away but I was surprised how many stayed and allowed me to take photos of them. The photos are sharp with shallow depth of field and if I edit them, they’ll look pretty crisp. I also took videos of the insects on my iPhone X. You have to use the lens without a phone case but it’s very easy to use and I am happy with the images. The photos are comparable to those taken with the Moment macro lens but this lens costs a lot less and you don’t have to buy a case for it. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

First off, be aware that this is macro only. There are other kit options available that include wide angle and telephoto. This kit comes well packed in a plastic case. The clip is strong and does a good job holding the lens in place. I am using it on an iPhone X but have also tried it on an iPhone 6 plus. I orient the clip so it is braced against the phone so it is less likely to shift. Once in place it does pretty well staying in there. I have found that it does cover the camera icon on the screen and it does cover the one control when the camera is open. This has cost me a picture on occasion but it is not a big deal. the whole set will go in my pocket and it is easy to carry. There are two lenses in this kit. Both are 12X so with both in place you have a 24X image. You get some vignetting from the lens but if you use the screen zoom it takes care of that. Don't zoom too far though or it will quit working. You do have to get quite close to the object, especially in the 24X mode. The picture quality is quite good. Does it match up with an expensive macro lens on a full frame digital SLR? No, but this is inexpensive and the picture quality is better than acceptable. As with all macro lenses any motion in the camera or the object will cause blurring. If a tripod is not available or usable try to brace on something solid to reduce any motion. If using a tripod it can be worthwhile getting a remote shutter release. Another concern with any macro lens is that the depth of field will be quite flat. You can video with these lenses. Pro: small and easily carried. good picture quality very fun to use inexpensive Con: small and easily lost it can shift so you have to reset the lens you have to get very close to object--not a good idea when object will sting or bite I definitely recommend this lens set Have fun
