Taylor Wired Digital Indoor Outdoor Thermometer with LED Display, Wired Probe Sensor for Home, Greenhouse, Nursery, and Indoor Use, White Housing

This works great in our garage near the tankless water heater. There's a long sensor cable, but I just left mine wrapped up and put it near the water heater. I need to be very careful during the winter months to keep my water heater from freezing. This has a very large and legible display that I can read from several feet away. It's very easy to program for the termperature UOM.

I rarely write reviews. If you are even looking at this, buy it! I'm a big weather watcher. I bought this to replace and old school indoor/outdoor thermometer. More accurate and I can see the temp outside from across the room. Buy It.

Bought this one to replace the one I had for 5+ years only because some one ripped the wire out of it. This is a very well made thermometer. Easy to change the battery for it when need to. Size is very practical you can put it anywhere and it will hang up also. Great value for the money will last a long time. Very easy to read the numbers on it they are very dark. Very easy to change settings on it.

This is a great little thermometer~ accurate and easy to read (the temp. numbers are larger than many of the competitors, which is what I wanted). I think the humidity feature is a great add. I looked at "Weather Stations" but they were much more expensive, and I decided I really didn't need the extras. I am happy with this; and well worth the money, I think. My ONLY issue is that it doesn't light up for nighttime readings (and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars). Have only had it a few weeks so I can't speak to its durability, but I see no reason that I won't have this for years~ unless I decide I must have the glowing screen type so I can see it at night.

For quite some time, I've had an Oregon Scientific Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer with Probe in my bathroom, but recently it had started giving me inaccurate outdoor readings despite my having installed new batteries. So I had a look to see what Amazon was offering and found this Taylor unit, which seemed to fit my needs. Taylor has been making thermometers for years, of course, and clearly knows exactly what folks want from an indoor/outdoor LCD-display unit like this: * Large indoor or outdoor temperature display. You can select whether you want indoor or outdoor temperature to appear large. The other reading will appear in a smaller window below. * Highest and lowest outdoor temperatures always on display. No having to push buttons to see these secondary readings. * Fahrenheit or Celsius readings selectable with the push of a button. * Temperature trend indicator. * Ice indicator (when outdoor temperatures fall between 26.6 and 33.8 degrees F). * Clock display (which you can select in place of temperature max and min, if you prefer. I don't!) * Folding stand lets you place the unit on a counter -- or you can hang it on the wall. Really the only feature I'm not sure about is the type of battery used: one of those button lithium batteries. Aren't these usually more expensive than AA or AAA batteries? And I wonder how long the single button battery will power the unit. We'll see... Overall, though, I like this thermometer a lot and trust it will give me accurate readings for years to come...

WORKS WELL. WIRE TO OUTSIDE THIN AND DELICATE TO BE CLOSING MY WINDOW ON (NEAR). I WOULD LIKE IT TO BE MORE PROTECTED.

I purchased 2 of these when they were on sale about 8 months ago. Both completely stopped working, no display. One, stopped working within 6 months, the second, within 7 months. I figured a dead battery. Took the batteries out of each one, just under 3 volts. 2025 battery. I figured that I would get some new ones just in case. That did not work. My previous thermometer lasted 5 years and it was $1 at a garage sale. This Thermometer, not a year. Junk. Buy a different brand.

we use this in an outdoor 'pump house' and string the cord thru a small gap in the interior door frame to make sure the temperature doesnt fall under freezing and the house water freezes in the winter. it works great for us, good price. the temperature is fairly accurate and i'm very happy with this purchase.

Exactly as listed. It is perfect -works accurately for indoor and outdoor temperature readings. Easy to read and tucks easily a corner of window sill will packaged and speedy shipping. Our last one lasted fifteen years.

Primary number display is 1-7/16" high making it easy to read without glasses or from across the room. I prefer only one large temp display so at a glance I know which temp I am reading. I chose outdoor temp for the large display since indoor is fairly constant yet still displays with the smaller ½" high and low readings along the bottom row. Automatic daily reset of primary high and low temp is a great feature so that on the day you choose to see how hot or cold it got you have current readings instead of days or weeks ago; also no need to fumble with tiny buttons since the daily high/low numbers are always on display. Small CR2025 button cell battery life yet to be determined but overall performance well worth any compromise.
