Coravin promptly sent me a replacement aerator, and it actually works like the video - clean streams not requiring a lot of gas (they asked to get the old one back to examine it which I took to be a good sign of quality control). Very pleased with the customer service - people make mistakes, the key is how you work to fix them. Thank you, Coravin! I love my Coravin - I just sampled a bottle that I last drank from over two years ago and it still tastes fresh. I thought the aerator would be a great improvement, but as others have written, the "flow" from the aerator does not resemble the video in the least! Mine dribbles out and requires so much pressure from the unit to even get said dribble that I worry about cracking the bottle. When I remove the aerator, there is an audible hiss from the Coravin if it is still inserted in the bottle. My understanding is an aerator will take an hour out of decanting, so, I now pour an hour earlier than normal. It beats wasting $20 on a cartridge!
