I wouldn't say this is very useful for wide feet, as it only stretches the toe box, but I have found this to be an incredibly valuable tool. I have bunions and if I buy wide shoes or a larger size, the back of my foot would slip out, so being able to only stretch the front part of the shoe is very useful. I use this "heel stretcher" for flats, boots, and heels, and it works well for all. The spot stretching tools are awesome and made all my leather shoes comfortable. If you have a pair of flats that cut into your bunion, this stretcher can help with that too. There was one reviewer who said that the stretcher got stuck to the inside leather lining of the shoe and when ripping it out, the leather lining ripped. That happened to me when I sprayed a stretching spray on the inside of the shoe, so I'd recommend using a single-use thin sock over the stretcher if you want to use a spray.

Bought two of these for one specific pair of shoes that were too tight in the toe box even after having taken them to the shoe repair shop to get them stretched. So glad I did! It did take me a few days to get my shoes to fit exactly right. Each day I would turn the crank one tiny bit more. After trying them on to see where there was still some pressure on my foot, I added the metal spot stretching plug on each one. Now these shoes feel like they were custom made for my feet! No more wasted time driving to a shoe repair shop. And… there are a few other pairs of shoes in my closet just lining up for the same treatment. Be confident and patient. You can do this. These were a little pricey, but in the long run I feel they will save me money and precious time.

This is an old school, well made product! I used mine without any additional spray and it worked, although I suspect it may require a bit more patience then with the spray. The attachment for bunions is so handy and exactly what I needed the stretcher for since bunions had made some of my favorite shoes too uncomfortable too wear. This provided just enough stretch in the perfect spots to allow me to wear my fabulous shoes again. Be advised, this is only for one shoe stretcher, so you have to either rotate which shoe you’re stretching or buy two stretchers. Great product, though!

This is only ONE shoe tree. Every other product that I viewed offered one PAIR. i cannot say this is dishonest, but it is very deceptive. Thankfully it does work and it appears to be well-made, but it takes twice as long to stretch a pair of shoes and you need to change the plugs from one side to the other each time you use it instead of just leaving them in place. Not sure if I'm going to keep it.

Just received this product a few days ago. Impressed with the quality of its construction and craftsmanship.. So far I've stretched one pair of professional dance shoes, choosing from the 3 different sized knob-inserts to make extra room for the "idiosyncrasies" of my feet. You can customize the stretch for each foot. I'll be ordering a second one, so I can stretch a pair simultaneously. Glad I had a chance to test one; it passed the test! Having a good shoe stretcher became important to me because I'd stopped dancing for a year to heal an injury, and spent most of the past year barefoot or in Sazzy or Yoga sandals. Walked barefoot a lot on the beach too. So my narrow feet have widened quite a bit. Now getting back into 4 inch stilettos, even though they're constructed to distribute a dancer's weight well, is tough. My toes now demand a lot of room. My Footfitters will help keep my toes happier in my dance heels.

Awesome product. I bought an expensive pair of patent leather Stewart Weitzman High Heel Sandals that I could not return. These saved my feet. It does exactly what it was designed to do. Solved my issues with overly tight, painful, pinching me in all the wrong places on my pinky toe.

I'm editing this review from 5 stars to 3 stars since it won't let me write separate reviews for each of the sizes I purchased. Initially I purchased the size medium because according to the chart it is for sizes 6-6.5. I am a size 6. SO for the size medium I'd only give it 3 stars because it is too large for my shoes and doesn't fit properly. It helps stretch out the shoes but it doesn't lie how it should like the size small does. I kept the size medium but then decided to purchase the small and am much happier with that one. The size chart should be updated because I checked on the foot fitters website and it lists the small for shoe sizes 4-6 and the medium for sizes 6.5-8. I wish I checked their website before getting the size medium because I then would have had a better fit. For the size small I give it 5 stars!!! This review is for the Size small. The size small is the one that fits into my size 6 shoes and helps stretch out the tight toe box. I leave it in for a few days at a time since it's been taking time to actually stretch out my leather shoes. I've tried using it with a shoe stretch liquid but don't feel that it helped any more than when I used it without. (I haven't tried it yet with non leather shoes but will update this review if/when I do.) Although it takes time to give a good stretch I still am happy that I purchased it instead of wearing the shoes with thick socks like I did prior to this. This is a less painful option!!

Great to widen shoes, easy to use and width lasts..Used on very high heeled shoes

I bought a pair of Rachel Simpson heels which are hand-made in Spain out of leather and suede. The shoes are a standard width and I have extra-wide feet (UK 4/EU 37/US 6.5 extra wide). The shoe-stretcher is super easy to use, very sturdy, and the real MVPs are the attachments that can stretch specific points. I bought a women's medium and as soon as I got it in the mail I popped it into one of the shoes and left it for 24 hrs. The stretch was fantastic and the shoe completely undamaged. After three alternating 24hr sessions in each shoe (so took about six days all together since there is only one stretcher per order), the shoes fit perfectly and still look as beautiful as the day I got them. Life's too short to wear uncomfortable high heels and if you have wide feet, this shoe-stretcher is seriously a game-changer. Can't believe I've gone this long without one!

So many of my shoes are wearable again. So grateful. A note that they are sold individually. So if you want two, buy two.

I got this lifesavers for my louboutin shoes which I got a full size too small (cause they were on sale). I was told that the size should be fine when I break into them. I couldn't wait for the slow process (I couldn't stand the soccer method past 10min) and I was considering selling them. But then I got the footfitter! It's a total game changer for my heels! The surface of the footfitter is smooth so I did have to worry about it scratching the shoe. Just after a few hours of stretching it, I was finally confident with my ability to stand on my shoes all day. I had to play around with the beads a little to get the extra stretch I wanted. I only got one footfitter so I was able to compare the different between the stretched and unstretched side and it's huge. This is worth it!

I ordered the largest size and it suits me, as a size 11. Smooth finish and well constructed. This is good enough for me to buy the same product for flat shoes and feel confident.

Love this product. High quality and easy to use. Worked perfectly on a pair of new Prada heels my wife wanted to wear to a wedding. We only purchased one so had to alternate the stretching but great results.
