UAG iPad (2017; 9.7 Screen) Metropolis Case

I like it. Durable, nice protection. Good feel. I'm a photographer so my iPad will sometimes go with me in the field for camera control. Just did a job where this worked well. I personally don't like how the cover folds back making it a little inconvenient to hold the iPad with my left hand while working with the right. But that may just be a readjustment from my older cover. Exterior texture is great, easy to grip, and doesn't rub off or mark like some cheaper ones do. The textured material that covers the screen is nice and I assume protective, but I question now long a "fuzzy" texture will hold up to direct hand contact when the cover is folded open. Not thrilled with the angle it holds the iPad when using it as a "stand" but that may just be my preference. One of the better covers I have had over several iPads. The OEM Apple magnetic cover which just covers the screen is cool and all, but offers no protection against drops and lets your metal get scratched. And their full "tray" type covers offer more protection but aren't as heavy as this. This offers far more protection without a ton of bulk. Not thrilled with the chrome-like logo, but you're talking to the guy who cuts logos off everything ...

Indistruttibile, ottima protezione però si fa pagare rispetto alla concorrenza.

Solide, cette protection pour ipad est indispensable. Mon fils de 13 ans me le confirme souvent : « heureusement qu’il y avait la coque... »Bien concue et pas moche, l’ipad est très bien maintenu et protégé.

Bought this case for my son's iPad he was taking to school. I have trusted UAG cases for my phone's for years finding their designs and price points provide better overall value than say OtterBox. This case is no exception. It is protective, looks great and fairly light weight for the level of protection. Only drawbacks could be in stand mode you can't bump the iPad too hard or it will fall down but my son who is 10 has not complained about it so it does work pretty good. Only other thing is if you use iPad to shoot a lot of videos the cover will hang down and flap around but manageable if not doing this all the time. Overall for me this is another 5 star case from UAG and I would recommend it to protect your child's iPad.
