She can hear things undetectable to the human ear. She can crush steel in one hand. She can run faster than a sports car. She is The Bionic Woman: the world's first female cyborgโฆand the role model who inspired an entire generation. Join Primetime Emmyยฎ Award winner Lindsay Wagner in all 58 action-packed episodes from the complete, iconic series. From the early days with her new abilities, to her changing relationship with Steve Austin (The Six Million Dollar Man), to her increasingly dangerous role as a secret agent, Jaime Sommers' incredible, trailblazing journey is chronicled here, and it remains an indelible chapter in television history. The Bionic Woman: Season 1 Review: Inspect the discs immediately! This is a beautiful show. I highly recommended it to everyone! - Check all of the discs immediately upon purchasing them. I waited and four of them would not even play. Before watching the series, I thought that Lindsay Wagner was not as beautiful as the other girls that were all applying for the same actress positions at the same time in the three programs Charlieโs Angels, The Bionic Woman, and Wonder Woman such as Lynda Carter, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd. The pictures of โJaime Sommersโ on the box and on the opening credits do not do her justice. By the time, I watched the episode Biofeedback, I wished that it was me that she was kissing. If I am ever fortunate enough to have a wife, I would love her to kiss me like that! It is a very nicely done show that is family friendly throughout. I had watched it many years ago when I was a small child but I did not remember any particular episodes. I liked the series so much that I also purchased a set for my niece. It is so much better than anything on television these days. I loved watching each episode and wished that there were more. I was sad that I had finished watching the series. Maybe I will purchase the movies also. By the end of the second season she was wearing her hair differently and looked nicer and wore nicer outfits including a jade green one in an episode with Maximillion. I had wished that she would have gotten back together with Steve Austin the Six Million Dollar Man, since she was with him at the beginning of the series in the cross over episodes until she had suffered memory loss. There were some things that were a little far fetched like throwing a stuffed animal teddy bear at a sniper and disarming him. Altogether it is a great series that I would highly recommend to family and friends to watch instead of the programs being created today that all have brainwashing and reprogramming agendas. If you love nostalgia and loved growing up in the 1970โs and seeing the classic cars and enjoy family friendly programming then give this series a try. You will not be disappointed. Review: Classic & classy, you can't go wrong with The Bionic Woman for retro family viewing. - Growing up the Six Million Dollar Man was one of my favorite shows and one that my whole family could watch together. Steve Austin fell in love with Jamie Summers only to lose her through amnesia and life threatening health issues if they stayed together. His loss was our gain though because then The Bionic Woman series was born. Although The Bionic Woman makes a great companion piece to the original show it's also an excellent stand alone series. Jamie was and is a great role model for young women doing equal work to her male counterpart while maintaining an independent lifestyle. She had strong values and never hesitated to voice her opinions or concerns when she disagreed with her bosses. Beautiful Lindsay Wagner contributed so much of her humor and gentle personality - not to mention a lot of her boho chic fashion sense which is right back in style again! - so this spinoff of a woman in a man's world had a very feminist edge. The DVD set arrived safely packed and in excellent condition. The outer box still in shrink wrap, and each season's case intact with all of the DVDs attached properly on their individual cards. The only thing I find a little odd is the two sided case liner. The exterior displays the season and description information and the reverse can be viewed when you open the case. This is okay except part of it is blocked by the last DVD unless you remove it. Or you can slide the whole insert out as I demonstrated in my last picture but then you have to carefully put it back to keep it nice. I would have preferred a separate insert, but if that's the worst thing I can live with it! I have not watched every disk yet but so far everything is perfect. If any problems are detected I will update the review but for now I can say highly, highly recommended!

NO AUDIO PROBLEMS!!!! YAY! This is definetly the set to get until TBW hits HD Blu-Ray or 4K!!!
Like many I'm a big fan of both Six Mill and The Bionic Woman, both shows were must watch TV when I wass a kid. I have to admit I loved Jaime a bit more than Steve tho. I've owned the 3 previous seperate Seasons of The Bionic Woman for years and was very hesitant to order The Complete Series as Universal never put out a replacement disc program for the audio defects in Season 2. Specifically Deadly Ringer and Night Demon episodes. I finally took a chance and ordered this set along with The Six Million Dollar Man $60.00 DVD Set which includes all 3 Reunion Movies! And certainly happy that I did!!! First thing I did on receiving the set was pop in Season 2, discs 4 & 5 and am very happy to confirm there are NO AUDIO PROBLEMS with either episodes!!!!! So now I'm re-watching the rest of the series (Bionic Woman first) to make sure there are no issues with my particular set... I also want to let anyone interested to know I currently use a Samsung 3D Blu-Ray Player and the upscaling is mgnifiscent!!!! The upscaling on both sets of the DVDs makes it both series look like HD quality! So if you only own a DVD Player, seriously invest in a good Blu-Ray Player if nothing else but to upscale your DVD Collection. Of course I mainly collect Blu-Rays and 4K discs and upgrade films and TV Shows whenever they're released on those formats and buy them new on those mediums but so far many 60s and 70s Shows are still only on DVD... While I'm typing this I'm watching the 2nd Season episode 'Black Magic' guest starring Vincent Price and the detail, color and audio is absolutely beautiful and fantastic! Seriously, HD quality!!! The greens of the plants and grass, the red of Jaime' s lipstick, the yellow scarf she wears on her head, the gold and satin textures really pop in this episode! The skin tones, facial details are all excellent as well. So if you're a Bionic Woman Fan please do not get the individual seasons, order this Complete Series set with the blue cover and close-up of Lyndseys face along with white box set with Lee running of the Complete Six Million Dollar Man, both by Universal, you won't regret either! :-)

No Spoilers
The Blu Ray transfer of this series is nothing short of astounding. It is shown in its original 4:3 ratio and not stretched wide, but large enough on the screen that you forget there are small bars on the sides. The sound is also great. With that said, this series is a classic to us old enough to remember it. While the technology compared to today seems outdated, the stories were way ahead of its time and well made, and the acting was great. Jamie Sommers was the first TV superhero who was female and had her own show. I loved the crossover episodes with Six Million Dollar Man Steve Austin, but that stopped later on in the series. Both shows were on ABC, but they cancelled The Bionic Woman and NBC picked it up. They later added the German Shepherd Maximillian. Max was The Bionic Dog, and as I am a dog lover, made the series all the more enjoyable. The characters of Oscar Goldman and Rudy Wells, and the actors who played them, were the only actors to be on two shows on competing networks at the same time. Their acting, as was all the cast, was great. It was also great to see the old time actors again. They had great guest stars. This collection also includes the three reunion movies that came out later. This set is a must have for your collection.

2 seasons great, 1 not
I watch old action shows primarily to see old cars in the background. If you are doing that, too, this is a fantastic one to watch. For you, it gets 5 stars because there lots of outdoor shots with cool cars and it is a decent show to boot! For normal viewers, the first 2 seasons are really good. Lyndsey Wagner is as good as anyone with the flippant little comments and expressions, and of course she was impossibly pretty. Her character alone makes for a great show. She is a true delight. The plots were well developed with the caveat that there would always be gratuitous use of her bionics. Every adventure just happens to require tremendous hearing, arm strength, and/or running speed. :-D But that was 70s TV, always playing to the theme. The best episodes are the 6 Million Dollar man crossovers. ABC cancelled the show after 2 seasons. NBC picked it up, but, from the evidence, weren't sure what to do with it. The plots were terrible. I mean really bad. The writers weren't even trying. Two episodes were literally Scooby Doo rip offs. There was no continuity- not just with the story, but with the type of show. My guess is that NBC was just using this recognizable show to introduce the bionic dog Max and were hoping to spin a new show from that. He gets more screen time than Jamie in many of the episodes. The last season is so bad it almost became fun in a Mystery Science Theater way. Even with the terrible 3rd season, I highly recommend this box set. When I bought the DVD, it was $20. That is a lot of good content for $20. Some of the bonus features are good, some not.

great blu-ray set
I've been watching one episode of The Bionic Woman (from Shout!Factory) almost every night for the past couple of months and I'm still not bored. That's saying something.

Excellent spin-off series.
Lindsay Wagner is a much underrated actress who really made this series. I enjoyed the Bionic Woman as much as the Six Million Dollar man. A pity that there was not another season or two to watch.
