Q: Is there an off gassing when you receive this? Does it stink?

I did smell some and so did my kids. I put it in a stuffed bear for my son to sleep with and I havent' let him sleep with him for a month because I'm worried about the off gassing.

This filling is not suitable! We filled a medium-size bean bag all the way to the top with 6 bags of filling (that's 30lbs for $180). When we sat on it, it just kept sinking and compressing into a flat looking mattress that sat 12 inches off the ground. The company was great at returning the full order and refunding us the money.

Q: How much will I need to fill my large dog bed?

I would say maybe 2 or even 3 of the 5lbs. It all depends on the size of your dog bed. For my girls medium sized bean bag the 5lbs bag I got barely 1/4 filled out of it after it was fluffed up.

Q: How many 18×18 couch pillows will the 5lb. Bag be able to fill?

It depends on how thick/plump you want the pillows. You get a LOT of memory foam from this 5 lb bag. I bought it to add more to my existing memory foam bed pillows to make them plumper. You want to dump it into a BIG box, run your hands through it to separate and let it expand. I stuffed my pillows really full and still have a large box full left 19 x 13 x 12. I would guess you could fill at least 4 to 6 18x18 pillows.
