Linty thread
The black Mettler metrosene 100% Core Spun Polyester Thread was very linty and made a mess in my machine. Not pleased with this poly thread but will use it in crafts for doll hair or something other than using it in my sewing machine.

Thread is fuzzy, not smooth, so tangles miserably
I have been hand sewing for decades and have used other Mettler Metrosene threads in smaller spools without any issues. This large spool is definitely not the same quality thread as I have used before. It is unevenly spun, with many small lumps in the thread. What a waste of effort, let alone money.

My favorite...
This is my favorite thread for my Bernina. It's durable and doesn't shed too much fluff into the machine. I love getting it in these bigger spools which provide enough thread for many projects before needing a change. Good sheen and strength in finished products.

Excellent price excellent service
With the demise of small fabric stores in my metropolitan area I have been having trouble getting the thread I like. This was aa very good price and came right to my door! Better than driving all around looking for the extra large spools.
