Does this really work ?

It works as a board game. If u need to give a dragon wood I would get a different product

is this game entertaining for adults only or best when played along with and primarily for children?

It's a fun game evem for just adults. I recently played it with two other adults for the first time and we truly enjoyed it. I think it's great for all ages. :)

What is the object to this game? Example of the cards?

The object is to have the most points at the end of the game. We play until both dragon cards are won and then end, but there are other options for ending the game as well. There are two types of cards: the ones in your hand are numbers 1-12 in colors. Then the cards you play on the table which include the two dragons as well as items like spooky spiders, giggling goblins, etc and each has a certain number of points value. Each also requires a certain dice roll to win. There are also special cards like an invisible cloak which adds points to your dice rolls and helps you win cards.My kids from 6-13 enjoy this game and I enjoy playing with them as well. There is both strategy and luck involved in winning. It is a great addition to our game collection.

Is this a difficult game to learn to play>

It is not a difficult game to learn. We've enjoyed playing with kids 8 to 11 and they loved the game. There are plenty of tutorial videos for the game out there such as Dice Tower's - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80I6mykjBBg

Deserves very high praise!!!

This game deserves very high praise. It is an excellent game for boys and girls (about 8+ is a good age) who enjoy playing board and card games with their parents. The rules are easy to follow and after a couple of plays the game is easy to understand. There is a nice mix of luck and strategy for an age group of 8+. The game scales well - it is great with 2 players and just as enjoyable with 3 or 4 players. The cards are very well made, the dice are beautiful and the box is excellent quality. I highly recommend this game, it belongs in every family's game collection.
