I have a larger double walled stainless steal mug for morning coffee in my car. This mug is really well made. The ceramic is very thick and the rubber and lid are solid and fit snugly. Really glad I bought it. My metal mug is OK for the car, but I wanted something nicer for my evening tea. Metal cups and tea don’t mix well for me. The ceramic keeps the tea hot enough for the 20 minutes or so it takes me to drink, but it grows lukewarm if you set it down and forget it for too long. So maybe not something that would work in the car for a commute.
