I follow this artist on you tube and after seeing her flip through this book I knew I had to have it. So beautiful, well made and brings you into the fairy world through the eyes of an amazing artist. It took some time and a lot of trouble to finally get this book in my hands but had to do with Amazon not the artist. Well worth the months long wait.

What is there not to like. Read through the stories and remember all you now realise you forgot. It brought out the child in me. I have had my doubts as an adult but as a child it was the most interesting subject to route out. My brother would tell me many more Faerie stories most bedtimes too. As an adult, i take my Grandchildren to these magical places and teach them how to look after our earth. Flora and fauna. How to find the fae, the green man, mushrooms and faerie rings then onto our beautifull, outdoor England to the forest to find the many faces in the trees. They dont ever doubt me but of late i doubted myself until i saw this book!!! I think its bold to say but i truely believe in all the magic in the world that turns out good. As without that magic, we would all forget to be ourselves. Im so happy to find this lovely ladies art and her many refreshing words. Its all there, written so as all you adults that got too serious can find joy once again in the great outdoors. Thank you Iris for bringing attention to the faultlines.

I was absolutely blown away by the quality of Iris’s artwork which is definitely up there with Brian Froud in my opinion. It is also very different but no less beautiful. This book is more than just the artwork, Iris has managed to enchant and engage with her prose as well. It transports the reader to another world and is a delight for me as much as it is for my kids. Simply wonderful.

Beautiful artwork and wonderfully written, draws you in to the world of the fae

Pretty light weight book

What can i say, the book is simply amazing. The art inside pared with short descriptions and stories make for a magical experience. It feels Like you're reading the first hand account of someone who actually met those beautiful creatures. The book itsself is great quality, both physical and art wise. You will not regret buying this book

It’s a beautiful fantasy book and I loved seeing pictures of faeries and woodland creatures. In both colour and the traditional black & white sketches drawn by free hand. It was a very nice to have a written story that takes you on a journey with character explanations of the faeries and creatures that live in the faultlines. This book is for adults who are interested in illustration and fantasy art. Similar style to Brian Froud illustrations of the faeries.

Il libro è stupendo! Ha la sovracopertina in carta removibile, la copertina sotto è rigida con effetto tessuto, veramente splendida; su entrambe i dettagli sono color oro. La carta è spessa e la qualità di stampa è molto buona. Metto qualche foto dell'interno: le illustrazioni sono magnifiche, stile acquerello, ci sono anche dei bozzetti a matita. Molto del testo è scritto con un carattere che sembra fatto a mano libera. È un bestiario fantasy, non ci sono le solite "fate", sono tutte creature rivisitate dall'autrice e illustratrice del libro in maniera splendida e particolare. Lo consiglio assolutamente :)
