Bob's Red Mill Red Bulgur Hard Wheat, 24 Ounce (Pack of 2)

The best thing about BRM Bulgar Wheat is that is takes only 15 minutes to prepare. I have had so many guests ask,”what is this ?” They can tell it’s not rice …… and when seasoned and cooked the correct way (I add a little more water)….. it comes out great every time. We liked it so much, I bought eight bags.

Thanks to ATK, I learned years ago to add 1/2 cup of bulgur/bulghur wheat to my 3-bean vegetarian chili which uses ~ 6 cups of beans. Somehow, incredibly, it mimics the texture of meat (I don’t miss the taste, but I miss the texture)! Since my beans are always pre-cooked from dried, my chili cooks on the stovetop for only 30 minutes, so it’s a good idea slightly to soak the bulgur in water or tomato water for 15 minutes or so before adding it. P.S. the other “secret ingredient” is peanut butter, just 1/4 cup: another ATK idea!

First of all, this product is not easy to find in my neighborhood. Now that I’ve found some on Amazon all I did was follow the recipe on the package and the salad came out perfect… all thumbs are up !!!

I really enjoy the taste and versatility of this grain.Sweet or Savory it makes a good healthy side dish or meal to keep you regular.I have a family member with a severe inoperable hernia.She was having an awful time with the prescribed medicines to help her digestion.She was constantly ill and could not eat because of constipation.I added this to her daily meals and stopped all the prescription remedies.She is now full of energy and has a healthy appetite. I would recommend this grain anyone .

Needed it for Thanksgiving. had forgotten to purchase it at the grocery store and it came very quickly. It was a good quality bulgar.
