Le Creuset Silicone Handle Sleeve, Caribbean

Perfect - exactly as advertised. Cannot fault

The handle sleeve slips easily on the handle of the skillet. However, it can feel a bit loose and insecure, so you would not want to hold the skillet vertically (With the pan downwards) with this, cause it may just slip out of the sleeve.

I bought a couple of these for use on our Le Creuset skillets: I initially left it on the handle when cooking and I discovered that it got hot.... Eventually I figured out that they are for intermittent use, that way they don't get too hot. I use the sleeves mostly when cooking fritatas - transferring the skillet from the cooktop to the oven broiler - works great.

I love the teal color and bought this to use with my ceramic-coated cast iron skillet and griddle. I only used it twice and then it cracked. I thought it was supposed to be made of heat-resistant silicone, but it is very brittle like cheap plastic. Not Le Creuset quality at all. Unfortunately I couldn’t return it because the return window had passed.

It is looser than I would like on All-Clad handles, but still better than any of the other handle sleeves I have seen. Nice thick sturdy silicone that matches the Le Creuset silicone trivets.
