Q: Is this the orig scent for women?

It was supposed to be the original scent for men, but it was not. This is a bad knockoff. Not even close to the original. Don't waste your money.

Your question contradicts itself; I'll do the best I can. This is as close as it gets. The original was discontinued for whatever reason. This replacement scent is as close to the original as I have found anywhere. Once in a while you come across what are advertised as NOS of the Original scent but the price is way out of line of what I am gonna pay, your decision may vary. I like it can't really ask anybody to evaluate it because the only personal friends that also used Aramis New West I left when my job moved me 156 miles away. My wife who passed away in 2009 would have been able to tell, but thats not possible. Anyway I like it and have bought it over the last 10-12 years. The packaging looks the same, the bottle is the same the Logo looks like an updated version of the same, it seem to smell the same and everybody that notices it comments on it. Must be the same, right?

No, Estée Lauder introduced the "Aramis Gentleman's Collection"; this it made it a lot easier to acquire New West. Most of the expense in having so many different fragrances was the packaging. All of the "Aramis Gentleman's Collection"'s bottles are the same with different labels. These are the products that make up the collection: "Tuscany Eau De Toilette, Devin Eau De Cologne, JHL Custom Blended Cologne, New West Eau De Toilette, Havana Eau De Toilette and Aramis 900 Eau De Cologne" 
I do not like the new bottles, I actually bought refillable Blue Bottles, (here on Amazon), they also spray better than the clear glass ones. Somehow, I think its makes the "New West" like it was before. I really don't understand it. I think it is my mind. < Complete Answer.
