Powerful story of the German occupation in France during World War II
An Uber driver recommended this book to me while we talked about World War II. It's a powerful fiction story about strong women who helped rescue downed Allied airmen and Jewish children during the German takeover in France. Kristin brings the story alive with her vivid writing style and meticulous research. Her characters are based on real women who lived during the conflict. For anyone who's interested in World War II history, this book is a must-read.
