It's a lightbulb; works like the original that was in my Honda Element. Good price too. I had to go to the Honda dealer for another issue recently, and asked them how much it would cost to put in a headlight bulb. They wanted almost $50 for their bulb! My Amazon bulb order came the next day and in 15 minutes I had it installed. There are a number of installation videos on YouTube and other places, if you're not sure. And remember not to touch the bulb itself with your fingers, or it will quickly burn out. At this price you might want to order one or two for spares. Update two years later: The Philips bulb is still going strong.

Perfect fit for my 2019 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 van's daytime running light. Exact color and brightness as the OEM bulb that is on the passenger side of the vehicle.

This replacement headlight fit my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The bulb was easy to replace and fit. The light is bright and works well. I also liked the price and I was able to buy just 1 bulb.
