Best decision everπŸ‘Œ. Connecting to the app is not that big of a problem as long as you follow the instructions as the app says and so far I had no issues with it. For those maybe wondering, It does work with smartthings you just have to added it in the smartthings app (not the classic app). Plus, alexa and google assistance does a pretty good job on turning on/off this bulb. I found that to be true too. But I've had them (2 lights) working now for a couple of days, and they work great.
