Have now used a whole box. See the price has risen by about £10. Only last about 12 hours. Small version lasts the same. Says "open here" on side of individual packs but (unlike on the small ones) there is no nick to easily tear open and scissors are needed to (carefully) open the packs.

Buying a whole box on Amazon turned out to be much more convenient and cost-effective. I just grab one whenever I need it. They’re very easy to use. For example, if I open one around 8 a.m., I don’t shake it or rub it. I simply take it out of the package and leave it on the table for about 10 minutes to activate. After that, it’s already noticeably warm. Once I put it in my pocket, especially in a more enclosed space, the warmth stays quite steady. In most cases, it still has residual warmth around 6 or 7 p.m. The heat isn’t harsh or burning—it’s more of a gentle, consistent warmth, which makes it comfortable to keep in a pocket or inside a coat. On especially cold days, I’ll open a second one, but most of the time, one pack easily lasts the whole day. Overall, these hand warmers are simple, reliable, and very practical. If you commute, spend a lot of time outdoors, or tend to have cold hands, they’re definitely useful to have during winter.
