A few years ago, I noticed that American hearing aid made batteries seemed to be too thin the make good contact in the hearing aids. I mentioned this to my audiologist and she suggested Power One hearing aids from Germany. They didn't cost an ymore and seem to do a much better job. I can get them through Amazon so it's very convenient..
