But cheaper doesn't always translate to poor quality. Yes, you get what you pay for, but if you also get what you expected, that's a win.I was facing two obstacles in upgrading a brand new Epiphone Les Paul Special VE. One, it is an inexpensive guitar, to begin with, albeit a very nice, quality one. And since the end game here is to sell the guitar, I had to watch my budget. Second, the cavity where the pots live is very tight. The Fleor pots fit both needs. And the fact that they are push-push, as opposed to the typical push-pull type, was an added bonus. Now the Epi Les Paul has the best of both worlds: warm, loud, singing humbuckers and Tele-sounding single coils. All with the push of a coil-splitting button. I am very happy with the results. I will probably keep her around for a month before putting her up for sale. Only time will tell how well they hold up. And oh, I took one star away because the Fleor pots have extremely small soldering tangs for the switch circuit. With a little coaxing, the tiny holes will barely accept the typical guitar 22 gauge wire, making for a frustrating assembly. And, because of the very small size, you'll need top soldering skills once you do get the wire fitted. But then again, they did fit nicely into the guitar's opening, with plenty of room for the wire. If I run into a similar situation in the future, I'll consider buying these again.
