Is it possible to make it rc? If so guesstimate price for conversion?

Most of the Bruder products are being converted to RC by the hobby community. There is plenty of open space on the undersides of the Toys to hide servos and such. However we do not know the estimated cost to do such a conversion. Best to go to a hobby store and inquire.

No, you have to turn it into a remote control yourself. This is a very high quality toy though, I definitely recommend!

Does the hood or doors open?

No, the hood doesn't come up and the doors do not open. However, there is a hatch in the roof that opens to allow the kids to put one of the characters inside the driver's seat to drive the truck. This thing is awesome and my son loves it. He was seven when he got it and is nine now...still plays with it often.
