Yes, that is exactly what I use it for. I'm a wheelchair bound paraplegic, and I have had everything from bedsores to diabetic foot ulcers, and I use this tape to hold gauze and bandages on the injured areas. It works very well.

Yes, I was a gymnast. We used this exact tape. Not necessarily for grip but it's good to use around the wrist to prevent skin tearing from using actual highbar/ring grips. Also, we used this tape to make rip grips. Once the skin tears on the palm it can be painful but if you use this tape to form a rip grip it will minimize the pain.

Fehlkauf

Ein echter Fehlkauf! Schlechtestes Tape was ich jemals genutzt habe. Es lässt sich zum einen relativ schwer abreißen, zum anderen hat es nur wenig Klebekraft und löst sich relativ schnell. Angesichts der Werbung und des hohen Preises hätte ich ein Leukotape 2.0 erwartet. So war es einfach nur eine Enttäuschung.

Warning to anyone looking at buying this tape in Australia. I have brought this before and this product is not the same. It doesnt stick as well, isnt as strong and doesnt have the product name on it.Dont buy!
