However if you are new to rival and are getting this as your first rival blaster do note it is bigger than it looks and it hits hard. The handle is only really good for adult hands but children can still wield it. I would say if you are getting this for someone below the age of ten rethink it. It’s a very powerful pistol and is quite loud. And if your are not older than 12 it will be hard to prime the blaster and get it ready to fire as it has a strong spring in it. If it’s “stinger” type darts, I’ll have to say the darts. If it’s Waffle tip darts, I’ll say the rival ball rounds. But if it’s a Rival Knockout converted to shoot darts (SoSickWithIt via Etsy), then I’d say any dart will hurt more at 120 FPS. For all intensive purposes, the Rival balls do not hurt because they are made of soft foam.
