Used this on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I received the below radio as a gift. This worked perfectly. The wires are color coded, no programming of the black box, or anything fancy. Good instructions, only vague part was the steering control notes. I had steering wheel wire 1 and wire 2, and hooked them up to key 1 and key 2 respectfully. I used this to install an aftermarket radio in my basic model grand caravan. The kit contained all that I needed for a double din install. The connector worked but only contains the wire for the speakers and basic install. Not a problem on a base model van. The only issue was the power. For some reason, there is no red wire (power positive) on the connector. I suspect that the OEM radio uses the battery wire for both power and battery. At any rate, I ran a wire from the ignition controlled cigarette lighter socket to the radio up inside the dash. This was awkward but not difficult. Removing the lower cover is 4 pins/screws two on each side and it basically slides out. I now have an awesome radio, note one cigarette socked turns off when the engine the other stays on. Take power from the one that turns off when ignition is off.
