Swash® Smells Like Clean Laundry HE Ultra-Concentrated Liquid Laundry Detergent

I love this product. The smell is fresh, but not overwhelming. Works good with my he washing machine. Easy to dispense and you don’t need a lot. It may seem pricy, but you don’t use much but a couple squeezes per load.

I really like this laundry detergent. It smells great, and the size makes it easy to carry to the washing room (I'm in an apartment). Great product!!

To cut my carbon footprint by ditching traditional liquid detergents. I’ve tested Tide EVO, Arm & Hammer Power Sheets, Swash, Poesie, Sheets Laundry Club, and Inso Green to find the best waterless alternative. I’ve used Swash on and off for years. It definitely cleans, though I wish it had more suds. The main issue is the price—I only buy it when it’s on sale because it’s become quite expensive. Also, unlike the sheets and pods that take time to dissolve and work into the fabric, I worry this concentrated liquid sometimes bypasses the clothes and goes straight down the drain. I still have to use Snuggle with this to get a decent scent. If the company keeps it priced reasonable, I would continue to buy it, but honestly, Poesie has sold me on sheets and that they could do just as good of job, so I think this may be my last bottle of Swash.

We just got a new front load machine. Was used to using pods but they don't always dissolve entirely and liquids getting funky and gunky in the dispenser drawer can be problematic - I wanted to give this a shot to solve both. It arrived intact with no leaks or damage, which is always a relief. Really love the small size. One could stash anywhere or take to the laundromat easily on a pinch. Scent is really not "citrus" in my opinion, but light and fresh upon dispensing, more on this later. The lid worked fine and the tiny amount rinsed fully into the wash without leaving a trace in the drawer. I will update if this changes in any manner - with any solution I identify. Hand Measuring - For those with a "broken", defective or otherwise non-working lid - dividing the 30oz by 83 = 0.361445783 oz. per squirt/load - since 1Tablespoon = 0.5 oz. With 2 teaspoons = 0.333334 oz.- add just a tad over that per load :-) The load was scented (still not citrus imo) following wash and clothes were clean despite a couple old stains that I did pretreat with dabs from my dispensed detergent. VERY happy about that. After drying, the scent remains. I will add that some scents bother me, this one included. I am not allergic but something in this, Oxi Max Force gel as well as other detergents & hand soaps take my breath away. I avoid the laundry aisle due to this issue. Not a strong scent but a quality I prefer to avoid and would not want on sheets or other things particularly near my face. Perhaps an extra rinse would remedy this ?? Overall, I like this product. May try unscented in the future for obvious reasons. I have used Amazon Basics Fresh Scent pods for quite a while with great results and no problem with scent at all but they do not always dissolve completely - so also trying that brand of liquid now with high hopes.

I read all the reviews about the cap not working before purchasing. So I researched it and found a mention somewhere that air may be trapped in the cap, and express it (flip open the cap with the bottle upright, and squeeze to push the air out) so the cap will work. That sounded reasonable to me, so I purchased. And even after expressing the air, the cap simply does not work. :( So I figured out how to manually measure it myself - two 5mL spoonfulls for a "one squirt" load; four 5mL spoonfulls for a large load. (I think I remember that right - I'll correct it if the measure is wrong.) (I use a liquid medicine measuring spoon.) But, I like (not "love") the detergent - the smell is very light and isn't overpowering after washing a load - I wish most detergents were thgat way. The clothes seem to come out clean, and whites seem a bit brighter. There isn't residue on the clothes after washing. I will probably not repurchase because pouring the detergent out of the bottle is messy. I have to use one of the dirty clothes to wipe the streaming detergent off the bottle, then pop it in the washer with the rest of the load. It's a decent detergent - I'm just not WOWed. But if your selling point is going to be the cap, make sure the dang cap works every time for everyone.

After using about half a dozen bottles of Swash. I love it. I have not experienced any issues with the cap on the bottle. I have never removed the cap. Every one has worked perfectly. My clothes are clean and my laundry room uncluttered with huge bottles. I never thought I would switch from Tide but HERE WE ARE!

Awesome product! I love this! It’s concentrated so less packaging and plastic. I love the clean scent. I see no difference in wash quality from the major brands. Will continue to purchase.

Great product but dispenser cap needs work. I really like the product but I have learned to save an empty bottle. I have had problems with leakage from the cap during shipping as well as problems with the dispensing mechanism that is built into the cap. Sometimes it won't dispense at all, sometimes it is perfect, sometimes it doesn't stop dispensing when it should. I keep an empty bottle with a properly functioning cap and when necessary, switch caps or transfer everything from the new bottle to the old one.
