Bought these but needed some sooner than they'd arrive, so got expensive ones from the store. Once these arrived, I still planned on using these strips. Turns out these test the same as the expensive brand ones, but, BONUS, these test more components of your water and have easy to read "OK" ranges on the bottle!

I have a tank that’s made of both metal and acrylic. Most of the metal is covered in a thin layer of epoxy, but there are a few spots where that unfortunately isn’t possible. Even though I’ve kept fish most of my life, I didn’t realize how much dissolved metals can impact certain species 0especially bottom-dwellers like the corys I keep - compared to other small community fish. After sadly losing two that I really loved, I had my water tested at a local fish store and they found my copper was through the roof. They recommended I start using test strips that can measure copper. Since then, I’ve been testing about twice a week and doing smaller, more frequent water changes to keep copper levels down. It’s made a huge difference in maintaining healthy water quality and keeping my babies safe and thriving.

This strip has been a lifesaver. I just wish it was easier to match the strip to the color chart. At one point I felt like the strip matched 4 different colors and I hated that I didn’t know how to be accurate. I eventually felt comfortable with the colors and figured that the water was finally safe for my betta. I did appreciate the price and how many strips came in the bottle.

Have a Beta that we wanted to make sure the water was correct. This were great and super easy to use. Helped us know how our water Quality was.

I can’t say they don’t do what they say because they do. These strips test the listed parameters and deliver results quickly in an easy to read format. As someone brand new to fish keeping I wish I had been more cognizant of ammonia levels as well. These don’t test for ammonia so I couldn’t figure out why I was losing fish as these strips were reading everything in the OK range. I didn’t realize the ammonia issue until I tested for that specifically with different strips. These are fine but be aware that there are other parameters to be concerned with as well

These seem to provide consistent results. One definite issue for me was the overwhelming chemical smell upon opening the lid. Had to air out the room after simply removing the cap, taking out a strip and replacing the cap.

I love these for keeping an eye on my water quality. They are fast, easy to use and I find that with my other test kit, they are pretty reliable. I always have some on hand. I like when I come back from time away to test immediately to see if I have to do water change ASAP or can wait a while. Guess work when my precious fish are at stake isn't an option!
