A: No, the 269 is a 3/8-24 thread mount, not an NMO mount.

**Q: Can you put a spring on a wilson 5000**
A: It might be possible but I would not do it.  The Wilson 5000 is designed from the factory to tune without a spring.  Adding a spring will change the SWR and be difficult to tune.

**Q: Will this rain cap fit the male threads on a Wilson 5000 magnet mount? If not, any suggestions? Thanks!**
A: No, a standard Wilson 5000 is not an "NMO" thread.   I've seen where you can fill the back/inside of a PL-259 connector with clear silicone caulk, let dry, & that would make a "rain cap" that fits a Wilson Magnetic mount.

**Q: Will this fit a Tram 5 inch magnetic base**
A: Yes, but I think that you might have the wrong idea. This cap just covers the mount -- the threaded post with the contact. That's the part that you need to keep dry, because that's where the electrical connection is. Tram/Browning mounts have pretty much the same thread depth, regardless of the size of the base, and this covers my Tram/Browning mount. The main thing is that it's for an NMO thread, and not a PL-259 (like you find on coax) or a 3/8-24 thread (like you'd find on a Firestik CB antenna).
