Does the job and simpler than replacing the fitting

I'm impressed that these little plastic connectors make the satisfying click and pretty secure connection after the plastic lugs snapped off my existing cable. I have 15m cables so buying these clips was cheaper than a replacement cable. However, the clip has to sit over a moulded rubber part of the cable connector which previously housed the small plastic lug (the one that snapped). This was true for multiple cables that I have. To fit these clips on, I had to spend time sawing off the moulded rubber, which wasn't that easy. After I did that though these worked like a charm. A small and cheap solution to a specific problem.

This was a "godsend" for repairing the broken retaining clip on my RJ45 connector. I had hardwired my house to reduce EMF radiation, and having to re-run this cable would have been time-consuming and stressful. Thank you.

Will admit that I didn't like the price. But I do have damaged plugs on a couple of network cables that, over the years, have become trapped behind the decor & complete renewal was impractical. Pest was that the damaged plugs didn't always stay in the related sockets, even with elastic bands etc. So, these little replacement clips do certainly do the trick and properly keep the plugs engaged, and I can't argue with that. To be fair then, I can't mark them down! For your info, they do appear to be 3D printed, so I guess that somewhere on the internet there is an .stl file for the practical to utilise.

it didnt solve the problem at all after about a month of using it didnt make a difference. not to mention the heat coming off the pc makes the plastic more malleable and makes it even less reliable. i thought they made it out of decent plastic due to the reviews but its not. just buy a new cable.

I had to make a small adjustment to the original plug, but the need was obvious. The repair fitted straight on and now the plug is a good solid-fit once more. Dead easy to use, great result for the cable.

I had two Ethernet candle with broken clips that were routed under floors so not feasible to replace. Both had mouldings that needed trimming but once I did that these fitted perfectly and hold the cables securely. No more connections dropping out!

I bought these RJCLIPs because a the tab had broken off a custom cable, which would have cost me £32 to replace. The clip fitted perfectly onto my RJ45 connector, and then I gave it a very rigorous test to see if it maintained contact, and it passed with flying colours
