Does it lose its time release effect if you crush it?** A: The 100 mg tabs are NOT time release and are chewable, by design. The 200 mg tabs are time release and should not be crushed or chewed as it will destroy the slow absorption mechanism. 5htp absorbs quickly and deteriorates rapidly in the system, which is it's major drawback, so crushing or chewing these is not advisable. **Q: Anyone get dry skin, hair, or eyes on this?** A: No I have not.
