    Saved a perfectly good drill

I purchased two of these batteries and they charged fine and have worked perfectly in my old drill since the day they arrived. In fact,  I believe that they hold a charge longer than the OEM units. That's a huge relief since they are the only replacement batteries currently available for it; Makita stopped making them some time ago. If I had any complaint, it would be that they come in blister packs made of a nearly indestructible plastic that take about twenty minutes to open even with a utility knife, scissors and a half-pound of C-4.Thanks, TopCell, for saving my drill and may a curse be upon Makita for attempting to obsolete an otherwise functional tool.

This rechargeable battery works just great. Works with the Makita charger without any problems. I'm glad TopCell has these available for my Makita. The drill is a good quality unit and won't be obsolete as long as these replacement batteries are available.The supplied instructions offer some good tips on getting the most charging cycles out of the battery (don't use it if it is excessively hot and never allow it to discharge completely, for example).

Thanks to the manufacturer of this replacement battery I did not have to discard my old reliable Makita portable electric drill when the battery expired. I don't know why the good reliable tool manufacturers are always "updating" thier line to make us buy new stuff when the old stuff works as well or better. The replacement battery has held up well, has the necessary power and holds the charge as long as the original one did.Three cheers for the backup support tool market.
