NEDIS TV Simulator Home Security Light with Flashing LED - Deter Intruders - Timer & Dusk Sensor - Low Energy USB Powered

Great device which works extremely well at night time. Really does look like someone is watching tv in the house, when looking from the outside.

On testing the unit it works well but once the sensor is triggered that its night time, it has to run its course, either 4 hours or 7 hours. This could be problematic if you leave it in your home, pop out for 2 hours and then on return have to sit there with this still flickering at you. The sensor does not react to the change back from night to day light so only useful if you actually go out for the full 4 hours. I thought it would simply switch back off once all the lights were back on, but appears its not designed like that and has to run the 4 or 7 hours from there on. You also need to get a 5 volt wall charge for this, it does not state what wattage it should be but I would err on the side of caution and not use your high wattage power mobile phone charges incase its too much for its circuitry and risk it catching fire - I used a very old low wattage SAMSUNG USB charger. Also triple check the voltage rate of your chosen charger as they vary widely and the writing on them is tiny. The unit itself is robust, appears well made and of good quality plastics and metals. When in "standby" mode waiting to go dark, for some reason some of the LED lights are alit - I can only assume because the power draw required for LED's is so low, even in standby mode they get enough power to them that some just light up a bit.

This is a great product for additional home security making a home look occupied as the tv is on (for example flickering on a bedroom window at night). Unfortunately the inbuilt 4hr and 7hr timer was non functional so the 3 watt display came on at dusk and went off at daylight automatically. A replacement request has been made. I hope the replacement works as it should as it i s a great idea for additional security. Sadly the replacement is exactly the same so both units will need to be returned. 3rd REVIEW. Both items returned in same packaging, both delivered faulty. Also Just noticed price has increased by 50%! perhaps the manufacturers have found a fault?

Brilliant easy to use and it helps look like someone is in, even in winter. I plugged it in on a timer switch on the mains and the brightness performed as expected, no noise and looked like a TV from outside. I have another one of these and both work well., nice size and easy to set up.

Excellent device and good value for money. Works perfectly well with an electronic timer giving the impression that the house is occupied when we are away from home so as to deter any potential burglars. The USB connector is a good feature and is used with an adaptor into the mains power supply. Device includes 4 switch settings - on, off, dusk settings with timer for 4 and 7 hours. Highly recommended good quality product with instruction leaflet included in box.

Regrettable purchase. Claims that from turning itself on at dusk it has two settings, allowing the device to turn itself off at plus 4 hours or plus 7 hours. Neither setting works and the device remains on through the night until sunrise.

Gives off a good light. Should set for dusk + 4 hours or dusk + 7hrs. Unfortunately these don’t work. Although I have it set for + 4hrs it has only turned itself off once. I didn’t want to pay a lot of money but maybe spending a bit more would have got one that worked properly

This little gadget works really well when placed in the right position. It comes with built in timers and will come on at dusk. Personally I have found using it in connection with a smart plug to be able to adjust the timing from anywhere in the world works really well.

This is a perfect little TV Simulator. It works great. If you put it in a room and you look through the window from outside, it really looks like there is a TV on. Great safety gadget.

Im Dunkeln original ein Fernseher der läuft. Und schaltet sich bei Helligkeit aus sowie bei Dunkelheit an. Klasse funktioniert von ganz alleine.
