This is my 2nd Oster blender. The first one (had it 5 yrs.) works just great. I bought this one for my husband's house so I can make my smoothies there too. It's a sturdy blender made with glass - so no microplastics coming into contact with food. What I love about it: I like the one I bought 5 yrs ago, and I like this one even better... Oster is a reliable brand that performs well over time. This model IS quieter than prior models, like the customer reviews say. Many setting options is great. Notes on use: > I hardly ever use the high settings. From my perspective, blending a smoothie a little longer, at a lower speed, is gentler on the blades and less noisy than the higher speeds. Perhaps the fact I use it gingerly is why it performs so well over time. So take care of your blender. > I clean it with a brush in the sink. Once in awhile I take it apart and wash the parts individually, but in my opinion, it doesn't need that kind of deeper cleaning that often. > Another tip: A friend showed me how he cleans his blender and it's brilliant - he puts hot water in with some dishsoap and blends it! Then rinse & air dry. This is probably the very best way to clean it. But if your chia seeds are stuck in there, use a sink sponge or brush. I will never understand why people spend so much on expensive fancy blenders when Oster makes very good products that do the job just fine at a reasonable price point.

Decent old school blender. relatively inexpensive and noisy. Use it mostly for morning shakes. Does the trick!

The quality and durability of the product is outstanding!!!! I had an old one that last me for many years!!!! Now I got a new one now and still the same quality!!!! The appearance of the new ones are not as beautiful as the old ones, but, it's okay!!!!

I finally replaced my old Oster blender that I’d had for many years and loved (it was red and didn’t match my new kitchen decor). I use it daily for smoothies as I did my last one and it’s super fast and smooths out all ingredients very well. It’s extremely durable glass, and handles ice and frozen ingredients well. The dark grey is a nice color, goes well as a countertop addition. Noise level isn’t significant compared to other blender. I’d recommend as a great value and quality for the price.

The ice crush is very good and the mixing of my smoothies . Really like it. Excellent value
