Right out of the box, I felt like Luke Skywalker (OG trilogy). We had been gifted some light, fluffy challah bread for the holidays. For those who don't know what that is: lightweight bread, near paper thin soft crust, and it's twisted like knots or something. This isn't a French baguette with an exoskeleton! It is difficult to cut well. There's usually a minimum amount of force to keep the cloud shaped loaf from moving around. The lobes from the twisted shape like to dodge a knife and the tissue paper crust loves a good tear. I hoped for a better cut than I usually got from bread knives... I approached with nimble fingers and nearly zero force on the loaf. I began my caveman seesaw motion and almost couldn't bear to watch. My squinting let in enough light to give me hope, my eyes returned to normal, and then they grew wide in amazement as I witnessed in awe the majesty of my finely cut challah bread! This is the light saber of bread knives and it should have a dedicated wall mount or be framed over the oven in which your bread rises!
