This book is one of the best small purchases I have made in a long time. For about seven dollars, you get hundreds of well chosen questions that force you to slow down and think clearly about what you value, how you make decisions, and what you actually believe when no one is watching. The format is the strength. There is no lecture and no agenda. It is just prompts. Some are light and fun, others are surprisingly serious, and many are the kind of questions you would never think to ask yourself until you see them in print. You can open to any page, spend five minutes, and walk away with something worth remembering. While it is often marketed as a conversation starter, I have found it just as valuable solo. It works as a personal reflection tool, a journaling companion, or even a quick reset at the end of a long day. If you want better questions in your life, this book delivers.

I was first introduced to this book in the late 80s & have pulled it out many times throughout the years - both to get to know someone better & to revisit the questions myself as I mature. I have searched for it for 4 years since my last move & finally decided to buy another copy. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it has been Revised & Updated over the years! Kind of like a bonus for having to repurchase it, lol. :) I'm glad to have a copy in my possession again & I appreciate the refreshers that have been done. I have a new partner in my life now, so I was excited to share these questions & to learn about each other some more. But so many of the questions are still along the same lines, so unfortunately it's novelty can wear off fairly quickly. However, it's a book that I always want to have to pull out again every so often - whether it be to learn more about my partner, myself, friends, etc. Remember, there's no "right" or "wrong" answers, only learning about each other & having some fun!

As someone well into their senior years, who for more than 7 decades has been a voracious reader of all kinds of books on subjects from A to Z and from the scientific to the esoteric. This is why while browsing on Amazon books when I came across this 300 page soft cover book (The book of questions by Gregory Stock, Ph.D.) I decided to purchase it. First off, even though I thought this book was interesting and thought-provoking; nevertheless, I thought it lacked a little organization in that it should have had a table of contents with specific topics areas covered. It also had some really stupid, (at least in my personal opinion), questions in this collection that I thought was strange and totally unrealistic. In conclusion, if you are interested in a book full of interesting, thought-provoking, and many unusual questions you may want to check out this volume. In general, I did love reading this book. Great way to start a conversation

I bought this as a Yankee swap gift and chose my own gift so I could keep it! I like this book a lot. We bring it on road trips, or places where there is a lot of sitting and waiting. I like it because it is thought provoking. Some of the questions are more for adults, so I would say that if you are with children, just have the adults go through the book so that you can guage what is age appropriate for the group you're in. Some of the questions are easy to answer, some are more difficult. We like to take the questions a step further and try to understand WHY we answer the way we do. Why do you feel that way? What happened to you to make you have that opinion or viewpoint? Do you think you'll always feel that way? What would have to happen for you to change your mind? You can go really deep with the self analysis! Or you can just have a good time and see what everyone says. That's fun too! I like that the book is small, too, so taking it on trips is easy.

Questo libro è stato consigliato da una youtuber americana, sono stata subito incuriosita e l'ho finalmente acquistato, molto carino, ti pone delle domande su temi diverse e ti permette di riflettere molto su te stesso. Ovviamente tutto in inglese, qualche domanda è un po' più difficile da tradurre, ma questo dipende ovviamente dal vostro livello d'inglese.

Creative questions, but not what I was looking for

I originally saw this book in a store and then decided against buying it for whatever reason. As soon as I got home, I ordered it from Amazon and as always, it arrived super fast. The questions in this book really make you (and others) think. You can always bring one of those questions up (no matter if you tell your conversation partner(s) that you took it from a book) and it will cause an interesting discussion. Alls thumps up! Go buy this book if you like thinking about questions that no one would ever ask you.
