No idea but if you have bought the latest laptop the chances are you with get one USB and numerous USB c’s. Therefore unless you want to continue change what’s connected to the adapter two could be very useful.

How longs a piece of string ? It depends what sort of cover ! They need to be fully flush with the socket, so take a normal USB A and se if it sits flush with IPad. You maybe better off with a trailing USBC to USBA adapter. Pretty sure Anker make one.
