This set seemed to be a good price considering the fairly long tube length (and the longer, the better). I ordered 4 sets (16 tubes total) for one tree and they shipped quite promptly. Overall, the lights were pretty straight forward to install and the end-to-end connectors worked without a hitch. The tubes are made from a fairly thin plastic, so it will be interesting to see how sturdy they end up being, but I don't think it will be much of a problem.Really, my only criticism is that the animated lights cascade through the tube much too quickly. A single cycle lasts probably less than one second, whereas the lights I saw in China were about 3-4x slower, which produces a very pleasing puddle effect at the bottom of the tube (not so for this product). The four tubes on a given light strand operate in sequence (i.e., first tube 1; when it finishes, then tube 2; when it finishes, then tube 3; etc.), so it's not the case that all the tubes operate simultaneously, as was implied by another reviewer. However, if you connect several sets together, it appears that all the tube #1s on each strand operate together, then the tube #2s, then the #3s, etc. A little more "randomization" would have been nicer, but this product does produce an acceptable effect.
