These drain sticks have saved my overly sensitive nose from the drain smells! These are super easy to drop down a drain to help keep them clear of smells, backups and just to keep them clear. They work extremely well and so far since using these, we haven't had a clog and our kitchen drain especially smells 100% better. That had been a huge problem as the smell was backing up into the dishwasher creating a foul odor on all the dishes which was especially awful on glasses. These sticks DESTROYED the smell. I do want to say that for the kitchen drain I do use on bi-monthly as that seems to really help keep the drains clear, smelling good and clog free!

These things work really well keeping drains clear working well!

After putting these down the bathtub drain I thought it would be a great idea to put one down the toilet, after all I have 4 sons and a husband so the toilet needs all the help it can get! Well my genius plan backfired. A few days later my husband was cursing the toilet, cursing the kids, and mad as hornet because the toilet wasn’t flushing right. He was certain that one of the children flushed a car down there and it was clogging his throne. He plunged and plunged and snaked that toilet like it was his job. When the plunging and snaking didn’t work he went out to get a new wax seal to reset the toilet. He was going to take the freaking toilet off and perform surgery on it it find the mystery “toy” the “kids” had flushed. Well by now I was in too deep, no way could I confess the truth because he’d be so mad! I don’t think he actually ended up taking the toilet off because while he was gone I flushed and flushed and flushed hoping to wash sani stick away. To this day I still haven’t confessed, I won’t, I can’t, I’ve carried this too long. And if you tell him the truth I’ll deny it and say you’re lying. Bottom line is that they work great for the sink and tub, but I wouldn’t recommend for the toilet.

Completely happy with this drain cleaner. We have two bathroom sinks that were getting gunky build up leading to clogs and having to be cleaned out with a pipe snake once a month (not even the draino liquid would help.) Been using for about 5 months now and not a single problem since. I find I dont always remember to get a new one in every 4 weeks, sometimes its more like 6 weeks but its been fine. I dont understand some of the reviews complaining about how the sticks dont break down... they aren't supposed to disintegrate in 2 days. They break down slowly over the course of a month to continue to release enzymes to clear the gunk. I don't think the scent makes any difference. We got lemon and I've never smelled any kind of a lemon scent from the drain but I dont care. There's no smell at all (good or bad) and it works so I'm happy.

Review of: Sani Sticks, As Seen on TV Drain Cleaner and Deodorizer, Lemon Scent - 48 Pack I really wanted these to work. After reading reviews left by people who claimed these did not dissolve, and instead ended up plugging their drains, I did a decidedly unscientific test. I placed one of these is a glass of water for 30 days next to the kitchen sink. I poured out the water every once in a while, and filled up the glass again. If a sink isn't used daily, these should at least dissolve if left submerged in water in 30 days. I shouldn't have to run a constant stream of hot water on them for a month for them to dissolve. End result: after about a day, the stick became soft and flexible, like a thick pasta noodle. There was no appreciable change in appearance during the next 29 days. The other 47 sticks have since joined the "wet noodle" in the garbage. I suspect that, in people whose drains this "works" in (I cannot attest to the other "benefits" this product advertised), they have enough water flow that, after it softens up, the noodle possibly breaks apart and gets washed down the drain, and does not cause a blockage at the insertion site. This could occur within a few days of insertion. To be fair, the description never said that the sticks dissolve. But I think they should, because if they get caught in the trap (as advertised) they will simply build up over time. P.S. In the attached photo, the noodle was whole until I moved it with a knife to get a better picture, then it broke apart, it seems to be brittle. It never broke apart with periodic dumping and refilling the container with water. A side note to people who feel the need to leave reviews: A review is more than 3 words. Tell us why it works, or why it doesn't. Keep in mind that my application and needs may be different than yours. I might even want to use the product in the manner that the manufacturer intended. (Crazy, I know!) Also: Punctuation and spell check.

Since we have moved into our older home both of our bathrooms have given off a subtle sewage smell. Not one that is obnoxious enough to call a plumber but present enough to warrant some investigation. We have tried everything, bleach in the back toilet tank, those blue tablets you drop back there, and straight up perfume. The smell would subside but always return and when we would leave for a few days and return the lack of use and absence of fresh returned water from flushing would create a dense smell in the bathrooms and adjoining rooms (like walking by a open sewage line). I figured we might just have to deal or completely replace the toilets but these have worked!!! Dropped it in flushed it down and it has been three whole days without the smell. Completely gone not just masked like with prior methods used. Even if these only last a few weeks I would repurchase. The pack comes with a bunch and the price is cheap compared to what we would have had to do. I don’t yet know if this will actually remedy the issue entirely by eating away at whatever might be down there like advertised (enzymes eating whatever) but it’s at least remedied it for now. Also there really isn’t a scent from these upon opening I was curious because they do not smell good but once flushed they don’t give off a smell at all, which I prefer.

I buy a set of these for the kitchen double sink every year. The package is conveniently marked to remind you to put a stick in each drain once a month. When you first drop one in, you will get a bit of a smell when the gunk-breakdown process gets invigorated... but after that they seem to keep the smell down in the sink. Glad there is an unscented version.

Fantastic product.

It cleans drain however it does not kill odor. it is working fine for drainage.

The sticks are convenient but on trying to remove them, they break in pieces before we can even put them in the drain

An absolute must for anyone who wants to keep their kitchen sink or other basins smelling decent.
