The cover is very appealing and creatively done. The title has large whimsical lettering with with tiny raised green sparkly beads inside the lettering. The kids noticed that right away, and liked moving their fingers over the letters. The illustrations were fantastic throughout the story and engaging. My grand kids spent much time, as I read the text on each page, noticing every detail in the pictures. Then they took turns imagining and expressing their predictions & outcomes. The text was quite simple, however it enticed both of them want to spend much time on each page noticing the many details in the illustrations that led them wanting to express their own unique observations and thoughts. They both loved this story! I taught first and second grade for 33 years. I wish I had this wonderful book at that time to read to my students, because I believe it would appeal to children at many different ages, grade levels, & abilities. It is a winner in my opinion! Review: Great for a few minutes of quality time full of laughter with your little one - Love this book! The story is cute, as an adult I couldn’t wait to see the next child’s trap. The illustration of the book is amazing, truly enjoyed the facial expressions on the children’s faces! Would be a great addition to a book collection, especially is a younger elementary class room. Good way to share a laugh with a child in your life!

Can you catch the Leprechaun?
Being Irish, I must make sure my 4 yr old grandson knows about St Patrick and everything Irish! I thought this was a cute book to send him. My son said that it was an OK read, but it was what happened next. He started thinking how he could trap a leprechaun. He had a week. I started sending things like green food coloring, leprechaun footprints and hat, gold covered chocolate coins etc. My grandson (I can’t figure out how to include pictures) put a bowl of green liquid and green candy under a box held up with a stick. Next few days he included anything he found that was green After he went to bed in the 16th, his parents made a path using the footprints to the box. They tossed the coins everywhere. They put the hat, glasses and other stuff around the bow and removed the stick from the box. They wrote a note “Ha Ha you think a stick would trap Me! Ha Ha”. When my grandson woke up and saw the footprints he became a Believer! Fun Fun Fun

Pure Magic for Saint Patrick's Day!
This delightful book has become an instant favorite in our household and the perfect addition to our Saint Patrick's Day traditions! My 4 and 6-year-old are absolutely enchanted by the clever rhymes and whimsical illustrations that bring the mischievous leprechaun to life on every page. The story follows children as they devise creative traps and schemes to catch an elusive leprechaun, each attempt more imaginative than the last. What makes this book special is how it captures that perfect blend of anticipation and playful frustration as the clever leprechaun outsmarts every trap with his magical tricks. The rhyming text flows beautifully and makes for engaging read-alouds that keep both kids completely captivated from start to finish. The illustrations are vibrant and detailed, filled with hidden surprises that my children discover something new each time we read it. The leprechaun's expressions are hilarious, and the elaborate trap contraptions spark endless conversations about what we might try if we were catching our own leprechaun. The artwork perfectly complements the playful tone and brings the Irish folklore to life in an accessible way for young readers. What I love most is how this book has inspired real creativity beyond just reading time. After each reading, my kids spend hours designing their own leprechaun traps and discussing strategies. It's become a springboard for imaginative play, craft projects, and family bonding around Saint Patrick's Day traditions. The book strikes the perfect balance between being educational about Irish culture and purely entertaining. It introduces children to leprechaun folklore in a fun, non-scary way that builds excitement rather than fear. The story also subtly teaches persistence and creativity through the characters' determined efforts. This has earned a permanent spot in our holiday book rotation and makes a wonderful gift for any family celebrating Saint Patrick's Day or anyone who enjoys clever, engaging children's literature.

An amusing read full of mischief and mayhem.
Having read a number of these 'How to Catch' books, I wasn't sure I was going to like this one any more than I liked the others. The idea is certainly a fun one but the rhymes don't always work well for me. But I quite enjoyed this tale of a mischievous leprechaun pulling pranks on everyone he meets. Turning toilets green, throwing sneakers in the dishwater, the leprechaun sneers at all the attempts to catch him, wreaking havoc along the way. Ultimately, the leprechaun challenges the reader to be the one to catch him before putting his feet up and relaxing. As an adult, I had to flinch a little at the mess the leprechaun left behind at every place he went, but everyone he ran into was trying to catch him and get his gold, so I can't really fault him for retaliating. Young readers are bound to get a kick out of the fun rhymes and the impressively detailed illustrations as the leprechaun leaps from page to page. All in all, a fun read for St. Patrick's Day.

Cute Book!
I recently had the pleasure of reading "How to Catch a Leprechaun" by Adam Wallace and it was a delightful experience! The book is a charming and playful story about a young child who sets out to catch a mischievous leprechaun on St. Patrick's Day. Our family loves St. Patrick's Day and celebrate with a party every year. This was a fun addition to the night before St. Patrick's to read to the kids. The book is also a great tool for encouraging young children to use their imagination and creativity. The story sparks their imagination and encourages them to think outside the box, as they follow along with the child's efforts to catch the leprechaun. I would definitely recommend this book if your family is a lover of leprechauns or St. Patrick's Day!
