I bought this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves to create and sell her art. This has been perfect for her. It’s easy to use, easy to store and the quality is decent. It’s not too of the line but for a 10 year old it’s great. Color variety is awesome and she loves it.

Purchased this art set for my 10 year old grandson. He's been showing an interest in the art and this is a perfect set. He has been expressing himself and opening up with his drawings. Such a wonderfully put together product. Charcoal and pencils and all supplies for a new artist in one compact design that can be traveled with very easily. I'm/we are very happy with this purchase and would buy again.

My almost 8yr old son asked for a Sketch pad and pencils for Christmas, he opened this and was so excited over the variety of pencils he will be able to use. It is now 12.27 and for almost 2 straight days he has not put this down. LOVE IT!

This set is a great beginner set for watercolor pencils(it should include watercolor paper for this purpose), sketching, charcoal drawing and sketching, and basic color pencil drawings. It is easy to carry and keep tidy in a small area. It is something quick to grab for a long car ride, or if you want to nature walk with a small backpack and do some landscape sketches. I would not buy this for young children because there is a box cutter included for sharpening the charcoal pencils. You cannot shapen them in a sharpener. A child capable of chopping carrots would be able to handle this tool, or you could sharpen the charcoal and remove the tool. This is a nice gift to bring someone who has a long hospital stay, and who is artistic. There is a place for each pencil and tool so they won't roll away, and it doesn't take up much room. Fabric paint could be used to put a name on the canvas of the outer case. I am not ever reluctant to purchase products from overseas. I have many colored pencil sets that have come direct from China, as well as calligraphy brushes and watercolor. When I read the page(which has changed now), it stated that this was an American owned business. It is. However, the products are still manufactured elsewhere. It is just the packaging - the very nice box in which the product arrives - that states it is an American owned company. I now do not know what this means, if anything. In the photos, you will see that the ink pen, for ink drawing, is covered with character symbols indicative of the Far East and the beautiful character writing found there. This is not an American MADE product, but an American owned company buying its supplies overseas. If you are purchasing items with American owned as a selling point, do not be upset if you find character writing on the product. I was a little confused, believing the purpose of stating a company was American owned was to imply the product was made in America. I was wrong. The words owned and made are clearly different in meaning. This doesn't detract from the product itself, just my feelings about the integrity of the company itself.

It’s a great kit but it seemed like the sketch book was full size but it’s a small handheld book. Other than that, it’s a great kit and my son loves it.

Given as a Christmas present for my 9-year old granddaughter. She absolutely loved it. And I like that it has the drawing pad included. It does include a metal pencil sharpener and exact-knife type sharpener, so very young users should be monitored or those items removed. The pencils seem very high-quality and the foldable carrying case keeps all the pencils in place. Highly recommend.

I'm starting to get into drawing as a hobby so I bought this kit, and so far I love it! It's fairly inexpensive, fairly compact, and everything I have used out of it so far has worked beautifully and seems to be of good quality. I'm fairly new at drawing but everything seems to be beginner friendly. I highly recommend if your looking for a gift for an art lover!

I gave this to my son's girlfriend who loves to sketch.This has EVERYTHING from colored pencils,to charcoal,drawing tools, excellent drawing pads and a closeable case that is very sturdy.For the price it can't be beat.She went crazy over it.Perfect for beginners to advanced.
