Was well worth the price fixed my no output speed sensor error
Well if you have had the pleasure of knowing what this is you know how fun a job it is. Went right on the valve body and my 6r80 shifts like brand new with almost 200,000 miles on it. Id definitely buy this again. Ive read horror stories from every manufacturer on these lead frames. Ive had no problems in the 2000 miles ive put on since the swap. The price was perfect and it comes with the foam insulation for the solonoids. Fit perfect. Ideas for this job is about 8 quarts of motorcraft lv , new seal for behind the valve body, aswell as the harness plug and seal. Get it all coming same time. Watch a YouTube video FordTecMahkulu or something like that youll have everything needed. Good luck.

Good replacement option
I recently bought a F150, after getting it home the motor locked up and i recently got it running again. Ive had this truck for less than 100 miles, and within 3 test drives this transmission problem appeared. My truck was still within mileage but out of time for a recall that lasted only a couple of months, 19n01. I brought it to the dealership, already knowing the problem, and instead of directly referencing the exact same problem to the recall they charged me a 1hr diagnosis fee, along with "shop supplies" fee. I contacted Ford directly and they absolutely denied a goodwill...mind you i still have owned this truck for less than 100 miles. So after some time of back and forth i just said screw it ill do it myself. This replacement part seems to be of quality. Everything was straightforward and easy. After the repair my truck ran as designed again, no more shifting concerns, no more dropping gears. Ive seen a lot of negative reviews on here but heres to hoping this part will last awhile. Part was replaced by ASE certified technician.

Lasts 1/6th of the original. Do not buy.
Failed after about a year and a half. The original lasted twelve years. This thing is junk, don't buy it. Just buy the OEM one. I wish I did, none were available when I did the replacement. Of course now I get to swap the fluid again. The worst part is that there's no drain plug on the transmission so you get the fun of unbolting the pan and attempting to lower a wobbly pan full of smelly old ATF and not spill it. Spoiler, you're going to spill it. Refilling it is almost as much fun since the fill port is in a weird place at the top ridge of the pan. I'm pretty sure satan designed this thing.

The fix I needed, dropped right in.
This is the Lead Frame that has been the problem with the Ford 6 speed transmission (2011 and up). I started getting an instrument panel glitch a few weeks prior to replacement (dead speedo, tach, digital display fail or wrench icon, check engine light). After some research online, this is a common part failure (speed sensor, which is built into this part). Dropping the valve body isn't difficult (torx sockets and inch pound torque wrench required). Installation is delicate (do not touch any of the metal electrical connection points on the part or the solenoids on the valve body). You will need 9 to 10 quarts of Mercon LV transmission fluid for refill upon completion. I recommend watching the video on YouTube for this job. I have been driving for 2 weeks on this repair with no issues.

So far so good
Its been a couple weeks since I installed this on my 2012 F150 with the 6R80 transmission. I was getting a P0707 code and some harder shifting. So far they have not come back. It comes with a foam "gasket" but it is not of the same foam material that Ford uses. Ford's gasket is very small cell foam, almost like neoprene or something. The gasket that comes with this one is very pourous like a dish sponge. Not sure if it even does anything useful to be honest.

Output speed sensor lost signal/hard shift/ Limp mode
2013 F150 STX. Called Ford couple weeks ago, OEM part had over 15000 orders put in. Stumbled across this aftermarket part and was skeptical. Didnโt have much of a choice needed my truck fixed. Installed part myself and had no issues what so ever. Very easy, FordTechMakuloco has a step by step video on YouTube for the repair. Lead Frame DOES NOT NEED TO BE FLASHED. As long as your only replacing the molded lead frame. If you replace the valve body and molded lead frame the PCM will need to be flashed. As well as the most recent PCM update for the random downshift. I believe this Lead frame fits 2011 and newer 6R80 transmissions. The new molded lead frame does come with this foam gasket for the solenoid terminals. 100% would recommend this part to anyone having issues leading to the Molded lead frame. Truck is shifting smoothly with no hesitation or issues

2013 F150 back on the road - no thanks to Ford
Ordered this Dorman part after waiting 2 months for the OEM part, also ordered from Amazon. This was an extended warranty repair but I couldn't even get an appointment at any local dealers. All said the same thing, parts have been on backorder for more than 6 months and no idea when they'll have any. Transmission was becoming more and more erratic and didn't dare try to drive more than a few miles from home. Wasn't going to be without my truck waiting on Ford to get their act together so decided to just pay for it myself. Was a little concerned about some of the reviews but decided to take a chance to get my truck back. Great video on YouTube explaining the replacement. Truck is running great. Haven't had any issues since replacing. Only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the fitment was just a hair off and I spent a lot of time dis-assembling and re-assembling thinking I hadn't aligned something correctly. Turns out 1 bolt hole was just a smidge off center which made it feel like I was crossthreading the bolt. Finally just plowed through it and it's working great. Still waiting on the Ford part I ordered. Wish I would have ordered this part initially instead of wasting so much time expecting Ford to come through.

Bandaid fix, not the real thing
I get it... we're all tired of dealing with defective parts. I was hoping that this Dorman part would at least equal if not outlast the original faulty part. Unfortunately, after replacing the defective OEM Lead Frame with this part, my truck began spitting out DTC's related to the Transmission Range Sensor (P1702, P0707, P0706). One year after it was installed, my truck went into TCM limp mode intermittently, refused to start, all due to this part. Do whatever you can to get the real Ford part (Motorcraft#: al3z-7g276-d). As infuriating as it is that the OEM part failed, even the failed OEM lasted ~12 years, the Dorman couldn't even make it past the 12 month mark. If you're looking to spend money on a stop-gap that will get you back on the road, excellent, that's exactly what you'll get. If you're looking for a long term solution, keep on truckin.

Absolute waste of time and money!
Ordered this one, because the Motorcraft/Continental part wasn't available some month ago, and it came defective from the factory. Installing it made the the car absolutely undrivable and so I had to do the whole procedure again. Do yourself a favor and get the OEM part from the get go!
