Hungry Jack Complete Belgian Waffle Mix, 28 Ounce (Pack of 12)

The Hungry Jack Belgian Waffle Mix really hit the spot. We had been using a popular pancake mix for years at a public breakfast but decided to try the Hungry Jack after hearing about it from a popular local Diner. It was an immediate hit, it makes a much fluffier and sweeter waffle than the pancake mix. It is now our new mainstay

Awesome pricing but keep in mind in order to get this you need to buy 12. But my family will go through this no problem. We actually have taste tested dozens of recipes including Williams Sonoma mixes and we loved this one the best! It had a "sweetness" to it and we only had to add water to the mix. I would highly recommend this item. I've been handing them out to my closest friends to share the love of waffles! :)

If you like a spongy waffle with a soft crust, you'll be happy with this "complete" mix. For my part, after a lot of experimenting with additions, I'm satisfied with this mix because of the convenient size for a large batch, but I do add whey for half the water (milk would work, too; I just usually have extra whey from cheesemaking), cornstarch, butter, oil & vanilla. I'm just lazy enough (and I've never found a homemade recipe that I just loved) that the convenience and being able to successfully doctor it without adding eggs (as most mixes need), make it wothwhile.Also, because you can get away without added eggs, the batter doesn't separate for at least a week, so you can portion out a werk of waffles in your fridge. Pancke mix doctored with eggs separates within a day or two, as does homemade.

The product description clearly says “Pancake” mix. However, I could not get a fully cooked pancake with this batter no matter how thin I made the mixture or how little or high the heat was in the pan. Based on reviews (I admit I didn’t look at these before buying) say this only works for Belgian waffles.

Easily the best of the Belgian waffle mixes. This is the closest to the hotel waffle mix I have found. It's not as good as an over night yeasted recipe, or even a quick scratch made mix, but it's fast and easy. Stock this in the office to make waffles. People love it.

A bit pricey. Flvor is great. Like this brand much better than Bisquick. Absolutely no problems for my Celiac wife.Would definitely recommend over any other gluten free pancake mix.

So happy to have found this, since I have not been able to find it in local stores. It's a good thing my grandkids love these pancakes, since having to buy TWELVE boxes insures we will all be eating them for a very long time. I love the fact that they contain 10 grams of protein. I don't feel like I'm giving the kids junk food for breakfast.

This was retarded expensive. BUT it fluffed up like a legit pancake. I would not pay this amount of money for it again though. Id wait to buy if I ever found it in the store.
