Best value and quality I've found
I know gun cleaning patches are a bit of a weird thing to have a brand specific preference on, but boy let me tell you that I do. So I mostly use them for the bores of my AR9 and my g43x as they both shoot 9mm, but I also just tear the patches in half to clean the bores of my 5.56 ARs and that works phenomenally. These patches are a pretty solid step up from the conventional cleaning patch. You're probably thinking, "Has cleaning patch technology been revamped that hard by Birchwood Casey with this product or is this guy just insane?". Let me explain. The patches are a bit more durable than others I've had experience with in the past, as I predominantly use jags to clean my bores and others sometimes allow the jag and cleaning rod to punch through the patch essentially rendering it useless. Hardly happens with these patches and I love it, given I'm not a particularly patient person. In addition to the durability, I also like the fact the patches feature a coarse and smooth side. The coarse side is very effective at scraping copper fouling/carbon out of a bore(the patches predominant use) and the smooth side is good for things like rubbing small areas of the gun with oil as a protective coating. With the quantity of patches you get for the price you pay coupled with the genuine quality of the patches, it would probably take a lot for me not to be a continuous buyer/endorser of these patches.

Sturdy, versatile and effective.
These are easily the best all-round cleaning patches I’ve used. Over the years I’ve tried everything from the cheap synthetics like Hoppe’s, to jersey cotton, and of course flannel, and these seem to outdo them all. The rough side does an excellent job of scrubbing powder and grime out of the barrel (as well or better than flannel), while the smoother side is great for mopping passes. I prefer to use bore-diameter cleaning jags, and the 2.25” size and thincknes is perfect for 9mm/.357 - not too tight, but snug enough to allow me to work the rod back and forth without them sliding off (they’re also fine on a looped jag). They’re the most durable by far, easily holding up through multiple passes, and don’t leave ANY of the annoying strands and lint that flannel patches do. I’ve also found them really handy as general cleaning patches on the rest of the gun as well, where the rough texture again proves beneficial. One other little tip - cut them into fourths, and they are perfect fit for a .22

Good Quality
Good quality. Not rated higher because if an item does what it is expected to do then it gets four stars. Has to be above expectations to get five.

Cleaning time cut by two-thirds
If we could give this 6 stars! My husband and I shoot with SASS. Cowboy Action competitors use lead bullets only, and use a rifle, shotgun and two pistols per match. We send a box of ammo through each rifle, about 20 shells through a shotgun, and half a box of ammo through each pistol at each meet, more than double that for a full weekend event. I can't vouch for how these do with black powder cleaning bu they are super for smokeless. Using these patches with the rest of our usual cleaning tools and our usual Hoppes #9 followed by oil, we've cut cleaning time by two-thirds and are only using about 6 patches per gun before they come out clean. Just to double check today we ran another brand's plain finely woven soft cotton patch down one of the barrels to test for residue after cleanig with these, and there was nothing to see. No lint either. We've used these for a couple of months now and no lint. 'love that they have a textured side and a smooth side making the process more thorough when turning the patch inside out and running it down the barrel a second time. Less time cleaning means more time shooting. Thanks, Birchwood!

The product has changed.
The package is the same but the product is different from the ones I bought before. Not as good but still better than cotton.
