Tips based on the other comments: Tears easily. You can blow on it to reposition it on the paper. The paper has a wax side and a slippery side for different needs. The wax side sticks to it better. It is not easy to work with and that is common for imitation gold leaf. You will likely get some lines that might be able to be rubbed off. For those getting balls or pilling, allow your adhesive to dry longer. Also don't try to flatten it while the glue is wet or it will tear. Your glue will likely dry like a rubber and if it's raised, you can get the glue to hug around it a bit which adds a nice touch. Lastly these can varnish and nobody knows what to seal them with.

Purchased these for my polymer clay jewelry and it works exactly as needed. They are a little thicker than I was wanting but it worked all the same. They are all a great color I have used the silver and gold so far.

All the colors are very nice. Very fun working with the variety of colors. I like using these on larger pieces, but rub and buff on the small highlight jobs. These are very nice for coloring frames, skulls or horns, and painted concrete.

I purchased these imitation gold leaf sheets because they popped up as I was looking for the product that I needed to "gild" a large project and they were reasonably priced. I was well aware that they were imitation only but quite frankly these are the worst I have ever used. Imitation gold leaf is typically made of brass, copper, or a mix of metals but they are actually made of metal; this product is made of what appears to be very thin mylar and they don't adhere -at all- regarding of what kind of glue you use. I was working with professional gilding size which, didn't work and I am not sure of whether it was because size is for metal and this is plastic, or what other reason there might be. I then tried other types of glue and neither was able to get these sheets to stick. I waited over 24 hours hoping for a different result but the slightest contact lifted the sheets. The color is atrocious!! Not at all resembling gold. Needless to say that I had to restart the whole project but this time, I used actual metal imitation gold leaf. In sum, save your time and money and look for a different product. This is really such bad quality that it ought to be removed from Amazon.

The foil is thicker than most leafs. When brushing the excess off, it comes off in rigid flakes. This is great for having the foil look but I don’t recommend it if foiling complex or curved pieces. Still, it’s good value for the money, I will be buying again for other projects.
