I recently used this shampoo on my double-coated pup (similar to, say, an Akita) and found it made a definite difference. The coat felt a lot softer after use, tangles came out easier while brushing, and I noticed less loose fur around the house in the following days. What I liked: The formula penetrates thick fur and does a deep clean, which is ideal for dense undercoats. Tropiclean +2 Tropiclean +2 It has detangling/conditioning action built-in, so my brushes glided more smoothly after bathing. The scent was pleasant (not overpowering) and the coat looked refreshed. What could be better: I did find I used more than usual because of how dense the fur was—so for a large or very thick-coated dog, this might be a slightly heavier investment. While it did reduce shedding and loose fur, it didn’t eliminate it entirely (which is fair, given the breed/type), so it’s best used as part of a grooming routine (brushing, tool usage etc.). Because the under-coat still sheds naturally in thicker-coat breeds, be patient and consistent. Overall: A very good option if your dog has a thick, double coat or gets a lot of tangles. It won’t magically stop all shedding (no product will), but it definitely helps with manageability and coat health. Highly recommended with a 4-star rating.

Came as shown without any damages on it because of how well the seller packaged it. This shampoo is incredibly effective on dogs with thick coats and leaves their fur looking well cleaned and shiny so to speak. It's somewhat pricey but for what it's worth, it leaves no foul smell, no skin irritation, and it makes it so your dog shed much less. I will continue using this on my dog for as long as I can afford it.

The TropiClean dog shampoo has a pleasant smell and cleans thick coats well. The consistency of the shampoo is like a gel making it easy to apply and spread throughout the coat. After working the shampoo in, it rinses out easily leaving dog clean and fresh. Once the coat dried, there was no noticeable shedding as the loose fur rinsed out. This is the second product we've used from this manufacturer and have enjoyed how well both have worked.

My dogs are currently shedding their winter coats like they’re auditioning for a fur snowstorm, so I grabbed this to help. It smells great and really works to detangle and clean — but if your dog is basically a walking carpet (looking at you, German Shepherd #1), be prepared to use a lot. I’m talking almost the whole bottle just to get a decent lather going. Awesome product, just maybe buy two if your dog’s hair could double as a survival blanket.

Do you have hairy beasts you call your babies? Want a little less hair on your clothes, floor. Bed, and food? This stuff will definitely loosen that hair. Make sure you blow dry it out or brush it out after the wash.

I read a lot of great reviews on this shampoo, but I didn't notice much of a difference between this shampoo or any other that I've gotten my Pomeranian. I feel like his shedding got worse after I used this. The smell was nice and I liked that about it.

This shampoo was great for my golden retriever. The smell was amazing, the quality of the shampoo was great. My dog looked beautiful once he was done being bathed.

I have an Australian shepherd with a very thick coat and this shampoo makes it very easy to bathe her and smells really good. I would definitely recommend it.
