How come you can use pastry cutters but not a knife? some of my cutters are knife sharp !!!!!!

I made doughnuts using pastry cutters the other day and the mat was perfect. But again cut dough out with a knife and it cut through my mat as a knife is sharper than pastry cutters. I’ll definitely buy the same mat again as I love it very much.

Can you use for isomalt sails?

I have looked up the process of making isomalt decorations because I had no knowledge of this form of cake decoration. I use my silicone mat for pastry tarts and pies and it is excellent for this purpose . I think that this mat is a little bit too thick and large to make delicate moulds with isomalt. I'm sure there are thinner versions that would suit better.

Any chance you can do this extra large one in a bright pink please?
