I have three piece computer speakers, i was wondering if this would help connect the speakers to my TV so i can use it as like a mini home theater

Check your TV first. I have a newer Samsung, and the port is hidden, but it does take the standard Green PC jack. No need for the adapters. The port was not color coded but all black. It was under the RCA jacks and next to the Optical port. It was a square with a whole in the center and said audio out.

Can one connect the RCA plugs to a TV and headphones to the 3.5mm connection , and listen to the TV on headphones ? Thanks.

It depends how your TV is set up. If it has an RCA audio output jack. If this is the case, then you can listen to the TV on headphones.
